My Story: Healing Chronic Inflammation When My Body Forced Me to Slow Down

For a long time, I believed I was doing “all the right things.” I was a busy pharmacist, raising four kids, pushing through pain, anxiety, and exhaustion —telling myself this was just what midlife looked like. But behind the scenes, my body was quietly waving red flags that I didn’t yet know how to read. I was diagnosed with miserable malalignment syndrome, which led to multiple leg surgeries while I was still in the thick of motherhood. I was navigating chronic pain, inflammation, and anxiety. Like so many women, I was prescribed medications to manage symptoms rather than address the root cause. I took antidepressants, relied on pain control, and kept pushing forward because stopping wasn’t an option. After learning how to walk again, I was forced to confront a hard truth:

I couldn’t out-medicate or out-push a body that was deeply inflamed.

That was the turning point.

Instead of asking, “What can I take to feel better?”

I started asking, “What does my body actually need to heal?”

I began implementing an anti-inflammatory lifestyle, not as a diet, but as a strategy for long-term health, one that worked with my hormones, stress levels, and real life as a mom.

Over time, I focused on four core strategies that changed everything:

• Nourishing my body with anti-inflammatory, macro-balanced nutrition

• Supporting healing with intentional movement, not punishment

• Reducing chronic stress and calming my nervous system

• Creating an environment (especially my kitchen) that made healthy choices easier

The results were profound, and sustainable.

I lost 40 pounds without restriction or extremes.

I was able to discontinue pain and antidepressant medications.

My inflammation and pain decreased.

I healed from surgery, regained strength, and rebuilt confidence in my body.

Most importantly, I stopped feeling like my health was something I was constantly fighting.

Today, I blend my background as a pharmacist, my experience as a mom of four, and my training as an anti-inflammatory women’s nutrition coach to help women do the same, without diet rules, guilt, or overwhelming restrictions.

Because healing isn’t about willpower.

It’s about understanding inflammation, supporting your body, and creating a lifestyle you can actually maintain.

What is the FASTer Way?

This is a program that uses strategies like whole food nutrition, proper hydration, and carb cycling to help your body reduce inflammation naturally, leaving you more energized, focused, and lean. In addition to 1 on 1 daily coaching through text messages, you will get access to a state of the art app with workouts, customized meal guides, macronutrient tracking capabilities and specialized trainings to teach you this lifestyle. 

What is the time commitment?

It's up to you: how quickly do you want to see results and feel better? You can spend an hour daily if you choose to do the workout and prepare the meals from the meal guides. Or you can just choose to follow the nutrition piece and spend 2 hours each week preparing the meals for the week.

Does this plan require specific products to be purchased? 

No, you are only required to purchase foods you can buy from any normal grocery store. You will learn during this health journey specific supplements that will support you, but they are not required in order to see results. 

How often will I hear from you during the program? 

You will get a text message from me daily with a simple action prompt. In addition, you will be in a community group with other members to ensure you feel like you are not doing this alone. With a community, we RISE!
